Connecting
speakers
The
speakers
must
be connected
to
the standard jacks
marked
(DlN

or to
the
press-type
terminal strip
at
the
rear

the unit.
Any
Speakers
with an
impedance
of
between
4

may
be
used.
Please
note
that the
ampl
if
ier
is
designed
to
achieve
optimum
performance
when
4
Ohm
speakers are
con-
nected
to
it.
IMPORTANT!
lf
only
one
pair of
speakers are
connected,
you
may
use
speakers
with
an
impedance
of
between
4
and
16
Ohm
Speakers having
an
impedance
of
less
than
4
Ohm
must
not
be
connected.
lf
two
pairs
of
speakers
are
operated simultaneously, only
speakers
with
an
impedance
of
between
8
and
16
Ohm
are
permissible.
When
4
Ohm
speakers
are
connected together
this
results
in
an overall
impedance
of
less
than
4
Ohm.
For
this
reason,
you
should
not
use
speakers
which
are
rated
below the minimum
impedance
rating
of
B
Ohm
per
speaker.
lf
this is the
case
you
should
connect
speakers
of
the
700
series
via
the 8
Ohm
terminals
on
the
speakers.
When connecting
the
speakers
via the
press-type
terminal
strip
you
must
use
twin
leads
with
marked conductors and
a
cross
sectional area
of
at
least
0,5
mm2.
You
must
observe
correct
polarity
as
this
will
otherwise
mean
that
playback of
certain
frequencies
is
eliminated.
The
leads
from the
left
speaker
must
be connected
to
the
ter-
minals
or
jacks L and
the
leads
from the right
speaker
to
the
terminals
or
jacks
R. Left (L)

are

to
mean
as
seen
from
the position
of
the
listener.
Speaker

pairs
of
speakers
may be
connected
to the
HiFi

serve
to
