Important notes
To iron thicker articles operate the foot
switch bar to position 3.
- The heater plate will withdraw.
Place the article ready and then release
the foot switch bar.
- The heater plate then moves to the iron-
ing position.
When feeding in thicker items of
laundry it is important to avoid put-
ting a strain on the roller / heater
plate.
Feed items into the ironer in such a
way that seams, waistbands etc. are
not doubled over.
Garments with buttons must be fed in so
that the buttons are towards the roller.
If they come in contact with the heater
plate there is the danger that they will be
crushed or torn off the garment as the rol-
ler rotates.
To protect the heater plate from damage
a cloth should be placed over zip fasten-
ers, metal and buttons and hooks when
ironing.
Metal and plastic buckles of all kinds as
well as very thick buttons (e.g. ball shape)
should not be ironed on the machine.
When feeding articles in, gently spread
outwards. Do not pull flat.
To dry off the roller cloth and pad-
ding at the end of an ironing session,
turn the temperature selector to cold,
leave the heater plate in the ironing
position, and let the machine run for
at least 5 minutes more.
