Purpose of this manual
The purpose of this manual is to provide necessary information for product installation, operation and
maintenance.
CAUTION: Read this manual carefully before installing, using or servicing this product. Failure
to follow the instructions within this manual could result in explosion, property damage, severe
personal injury and/or death.
WARNING: This pump is designed for use with water or non-flammable liquids ONLY. All
fluids must be verified for chemical compatibility with the pump before installation and use in
equipment.
WARNING: Do not use pump if it presents some damage such as burned or broken pressure
switch, exposed electric wire and/or contacts.
EXPLOSION HAZARD: Do not use motor pump units for pumping gasoline or other
flammable liquids with flash point below 100°F (37.8°C). Doing so may result in explosion
which could cause personal injury, death or property damage.
CAUTION: Disconnect power from the system before working on the unit to avoid personal
injury, damage to the surrounding environment and/or damage to the unit.
CAUTION: Always install proper fuse size to prevent damage to product should a short occur.
Failure to install proper fuse could increase risk of pump malfunction, potentially resulting in
personal injury and/or fire hazard. The product label outlines the proper fuse size for your model.
CAUTION: Electrical wiring should be performed by a qualified and competent electrician, in
accordance with all local and national electrical codes.
CAUTION: This pump has an integrated pressure switch. When connected to power, it can start
automatically without warning if the pressure switch senses pressure below that of switch shut-off.
