Making Coffee with a Preset Time

The coffee machine has a timer function and can switch itself on automatically at a preset
time.
1. Prepare the coffee machine as described in the "Making Coffee" chapter, steps 1 to 6.
2. Make sure that the time is set correctly (see the "Setting the Time" chapter).
3. Make sure that the coffee machine is switched off and the operating lamp (14) is not
lit up. Otherwise programming is not possible.
4. Press the PROGRAMM (PROGRAM) button (11). The start time of the brewing pro-
cess is shown fl ashing. The operating lamp fl ashes green.
5. Use the STUNDE (HOUR) button (10) and MINUTE button (9) to change the start
time.
6. Press the PROGRAMM (PROGRAM) button again. The display switches to the cur-
rent time and the operating lamp goes out.
7. Press the TIMER button (12) to activate the automatic start function.
The operating lamp starts to be lit up constantly green.

Cleaning and Care

PLEASE NOTE!
■ The device and accessories are not suitable for being cleaned in a dishwasher.
■ Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents. They could damage the sur-
face.
• Once all parts of the coffee machine have cooled down, take out the fi lter holder (16),
remove the permanent fi lter (17) and dispose of the coffee grounds.
• Rinse the fi lter holder and the jug (5) with warm water and a little detergent. Dry them
before inserting them into the device.
• Wipe down the housing and the hotplate of the coffee machine with a clean, slightly
damp cloth. Use mild cleaning agent if necessary. Never immerse the device in
water!
