4) Installation Instructions
4.1 Positioning the Pump
• It is important to circulate ALL of the water in your pond. To accomplish this, the
Aquascape™ AquaForce™ Pump should be placed on the opposite end of the pond from
your filter's outlet.
• As the Aquascape™ AquaForce™ Pump is solids capable, it may be placed at the bottom
of the pond to better enable the transportation of solids from the bottom of the pond to your
filter, where it may be cleaned out.

4.2 Connecting Fittings to Pump
• Remove from pump box and install the Extendable Outlet Tube on the Aquascape™ Aqua-
Force™ Pump. This fitting simply threads onto the pump until hand tight.
• Remove the Hosetail from the pump box. Slide the Extendable Outlet Tube inside the
Hosetail with as much pressure as needed until o-rings are no longer visible on the fitting.
The locking nut is then threaded on by turning clockwise until hand tight.
• The Hosetail can be cut to accommodate inner diameter tubing sizes of ¾", 1", 1 ¼", and
1 ½". If ¾" tubing is used, the fittings may be used without any modification.
CAUTION: If 3/4" tubing is used on any sizes of the Aquascape™ AquaForce™ Pump, the
maximum flow from the pump may not be achieved. See Figure 1. If 1" tubing is used, cut
the first ¾" step off of the fitting with a hacksaw. If 1 ¼" tubing is used, cut off both the
¾" and 1" sizes. If 1 ½" tubing is used, cut off the ¾", 1", and 1 ¼" sized steps. Note the
correct position of each cut. See Figure 1 for more details.
• The tubing is attached to the Hosetail mechanically by using a Stainless Steel Hose
Clamp. See Figure 2 for correct installation.
