• The installation may be made only in non-freezing rooms.
• The control electronics is suitable for practice in closed
rooms only.
• During damaged outside access line of this control
electronics this must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
customer service or an equally qualified person, in order to

Dismounting cover plate witch electronic
1. Loosen screws (D) with 2.5mm hexagon key and detach
cover plate (E), see fold-out page I, Fig. [1].
2. Close isolating valve (J).
3. Loosen set screw (A) and pull off spout (B), see Fig. [2].

Loosen set screw (A1) and pull off extension (C).
4. Loosen patch cords (F) and (F1) of cover plate (E), see
Fig. [3].
5. Unscrew hose (G) from cover plate connection (E).
6. Unscrew solenoid valve (H) with hose (G) from isolating
valve (J) and pull out of installation box.
7. Unscrew screws (K1) and washer (K2) and take off retaining
cover (K), see Fig. [4].

8. Loosen plug connector (L).
9. Unscrew screws (M1) and take transformer (M) out of the
installation box.

Installation of replacement electronic

1. Fix transformer (N) with screws (N1) in installation box, see

2. Prepare voltage supply over plug connector (O).

Fasten plug connectors with enclosed tapes (P) to the side
of the insatallation box.

3. Fasten retaining cover (R) with screws (R1) and
2 s
washer (R2) to the installation box.
4. Screw solenoid valve (H) with attached new filter (H1) in
isolating valve (J), see Fig. [6].
Prepare cover plate
36 172 only (long spout):
Push extension (C) on connection nipple (S) of cover
plate (T) and secure with set screw (A1) from below, see
fold-out page III, Fig. [7].
1. Push spout (B) on extension (C) or connection nipple (S),
adjust and secure with set screw (A) from below, see fold-
out page III, Fig. [7].
2. Fasten protection chain (U) of retaining cover (R) at cover
plate (T), see Fig. [8].
3. Attach control electronics (V) with plug connectors (V1)
and (V2) to transformer and solenoid valve.
4. Connect hose (G) with seal (G1) to cover plate (T).
Final installation
1. Open isolating valve (J).
2. Hang up cover plate (T) on retaining cover (R) from above,
see Fig. [9].
3. Fasten cover plate (T) with screw (T1) using enclosed srew
driver.
Operation
The Infrared electronics sends invisible, pulsed light.
The Infrared electronics is adjusted so that during approxi-
mation of the hands under the spout the watercourse is
released. Leave the hands the spout area the water course
with stopped after 2 s (factory setting).
The range of the sensor depends on the reflection
characteristics of the entering object.
Cleaning mode
The cleaning mode becomes activated by holding the hand
for 5 s in the distance from 3 - 7cm in front of the sensor. The
watercourse is interrupted for 3 min.
During renewed approximation for 5 s or expiration of the time
the watercourse is automatically released.
Automatic safety stop
After 60 s (factory setting) of continously entry of an object
the infrared electronics will stop the water course
automatically.
With remote control (see special accessory, ref.-no.: 36 206)
the automatic safety stop is adjustable in levels from 5 - 420 s.
