Acetone or ethyl alcohol

Method:
1. Smooth the area to be repaired using P320 sandpaper. In the case of texturized surfaces (e.g. slate, stone),
sanding must be done very carefully to avoid damaging the surface.
2. Clean the damaged area using a cotton cloth soaked in acetone or ethanol.
3. Pour the entire amount of catalyst contained in the tube into the gelcoat jar. Mix thoroughly using a stainless
steel spatula (clean, not rusty).
4. Apply the prepared plaster taking care to completely cover the damaged part and leaving slight excess of
material. If repairing vertical surfaces, please apply masking tape to prevent trickling.
5. Allow to harden for at least 3-4 hours at a temperature of at least 20 °C. If in colder environments, please enhance
catalysis by placing the item into an oven preheated at 50 °C or applying a jet of hot air (hair dryer).
6. Remove the excess plaster by manually smoothing the surface in circular motion using P320 sandpaper, making
sure you do not create any dimples. In the case of texturized surfaces (e.g. slate, stone), sanding must be done
very carefully to avoid damaging the surface.
7. Apply the revitalising protective coat using a cotton cloth soaked in the product. Remove all residues using a
cotton cloth and dry the surface thoroughly to prevent possible drops or stains. After 3 hours, apply the second
coat.
8. Wash the treated surface with soapy water and the Scotch Brite® sponge included.
