Electrical installation
The probe works with the 4-20mA
two-wire loop, the supply voltage
must be between 12-36Vdc, the
power supply must provide a
current of at least 50mA at 12Vdc.
For example, if you have a sensor
that measures in the range 0-
5ppm, the output will be 4mA-
0ppm
and
5ppm-20mA.
The
typical connection to a reading
system is visible in the figure on
the right.
Hydraulic installation
Insert the probe into the flowing
probe holder as shown in Figure
on the right; the probe must not
be inserted up to the stop, but in
such a way that the membrane
remains at a distance of 4-5 cm
from the bottom, where it enters
the water, in order not to have
reading
disorders
due
to
phenomena of swirling at the
base of the probe.
Maintenance / reconditioning of the sensor
For a correct and lasting operation of the probe is recommended to
replace the liquid electrolyte filling every 3-4 months, or whenever you
have free chlorine readings unstable or incorrect.
It is recommended to replace the membrane cap at least once a year or
whenever you have free chlorine readings unstable or incorrect.
Warning: the brown coating on the silver electrode should not be totally
scratched. When replacing the porous membrane, a light cleaning of the
electrode is recommended, using the special abrasive paper supplied
with a motion perpendicular to the electrode itself.
