4. Power supply
I. Battery operation
1. Remove the transparent cover of the control panel and place the function selector
switch in the "OFF" position and select the desired frequency using the frequency
selector switch.
2. Pull the battery case plug out of the input socket (battery 6V) on the rear side of
the appliance and disconnect the battery case from the unit. Then slide the battery
case away from the unit to the side.
3. Open the cover of the battery case by loosening the screws and insert four size
'D' (LR20/UM1) alkaline batteries. Take care that the polarity of the batteries
corresponds to the markings inside the case.
4 Close the battery case and slide it back onto the main unit.
5. Remove the water plug (image number 3) at the 'battery 6V' bushing and insert
the 3.5 mm female connector from the battery case into the opening.Keep the
plug in a safe place to reuse to close off the battery connector socket when the
unit is operated using the AC adapter.
6. When the unit is operated using the batteries, it is always tripped by the PIR
regardless of whether you set it at CON or M/S, so that the operation time is
extended. Then slide the frequency selector switch to the desired frequency.
7. To check operation, press the test button. The LED indicator lights up and a high
frequency sound is emitted if installation has been carried out correctly. Place the
transparent cover back on the control panel again.

Remark:
When using high-quality alkaline batteries, the average operating time is
approximately 6 months.
II. Mains adaptor operation
When using a 12-volt AC adapter, only connect it to the 12-volt receptacle
provided. Connecting a 12-volt AC adapter to the 6-volt receptacle can destroy
the technical components. When a 6-volt AC adapter is connected to the 12-
volt receptacle, the device will not function.
1. Remove the transparent cover of the control panel and place the function selector
switch in the "OFF" position and select the desired frequency using the frequency
selector switch.
2. Remove the water plug (see image number 3) from the 'DC in 12V' connector
socket and keep in a safe place for reuse if you switch back to battery
power. Make sure that when the unit is operated with the AC adapter, the 'battery
in 6V' connector socket is closed off with the water plug.
3. Please observe the correct polarity setting (+/-).
4. Please comply with the safety regulations included with the mains adaptor.
5. Switch on the AC adaptor. Set it at CON or M/S. Then slide the frequency selector
switch to the desired frequency.
6. To check operation, press the test button. The LED indicator lights up and a high
frequency sound is emitted if installation has been carried out correctly. Please
don't forget to select the desired frequency first using the frequency selector
switch. Place the transparent cover back on the control panel again.
