2. Remove the STD screws ⓓ and
the fuel cap. Disconnect the drain
hose on the back of the helmet
box cover then remove the cover.
The screws ⓓ will be reused later.
To prevent the fuel tank form
being contaminated by foreign
particles, install the fuel tank
cap.
Gasoline is very flammable and
may cause fires if handled inc-
orrectly.
・During disassembling, use
care to minimize spillage of
gasoline.
・Spilled gasoline should be
wiped off immediately.
・Work in a well-ventilated area.
・Before opening the fuel tank
cap, touch a metal section of
the motorcycle body to elim-
inate static electricity from
your body. If you are statically
charged the static may disch-
arge with a spark, causing the
gasoline to catch fire.
