USING YOUR HOTPLATE
You must read all instructions carefully before using this appliance.
Remove all packaging material and please check carefully to ensure that your hotplate is in good
condition. There must be no cracks on the unit and no damage to the cord/plug. Do not discard any
packaging until all accessories have been located.
You must confirm that the voltage indicated on the hotplate corresponds with the voltage in your
home.
Remove any adhesive labels or stickers before use.
You should carefully wipe the exterior surface and the spiral element with a warm, soft damp cloth to
remove any dust that may have accumulated. Wipe dry with a clean towel.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Before using you hotplate for the first time, turn it to the highest setting for 3 to 5 minutes to condition
the protective coating. (This should be the only time the hotplate is ever turned on without a cooking
utensil on it.) When used for the first time, the hotplate may give off a slight odour and smoke haze.
This is normal and simply due to initial heating of internal components.
2.
For the most efficient operation of your hotplate, the pots and pans used should have a solid base,
be as even as possible and have a diameter of approximately 18-20 cm and a maximum capacity of
8 litres. Do not use pots and pans with a base diameter that is smaller than the diameter of the
hotplate.
3.
Regardless of their size, pots and pans should not be bigger than the hotplate or stand too close to
the controls.
