Individual sensor configuration
The sensors deviating from the standard configuration can
be used for particular applications (e.g. confined spaces or
particular media).
Only sensors designated by KESSEL for retrofitting may
be mounted in KESSEL systems.
Replace/retrofit external connection
CAUTION
Only qualified electrically skilled persons (in accor-
dance with the national regulations for electrical
safety) may connect electric cables inside the con-
trol unit.
The installation of alternative sensor configurations may
require the replacement or retrofitting of external connec-
tions on the underside of the control unit.
Remove wires from the terminal block by pulling the wires
at the same time as pushing in the slotted screwdriver.
Use size 22 spanner to remove end fitting.
Push in the thread of the cable gland M16x1.5 and fix
with counter nut.
Push the nut of the cable gland onto the end of the cable.
Feed the wires and cable end through the opening of the
cable gland.
Use the blind plugs on the underside of the control unit to
retrofit additional cable glands.
Level sensor, Mono/Duo
Connect the ends of the level sensor to the Probe terminal
block. The connection diagram for level sensors is the same
for Mono and Duo systems. The external connection on the
underside of the control unit may have to be replaced.
