Save time and money! Review the charts on the following pages first and you may not need to schedule service.
Problem
Not filtering
Leak Detected at Filter
Water filter indicator light remains
lit after replacing filter
Handle is loose/handle has a
gap.
Refrigerator beeping
Refrigerator lights off and "SA"
shown in display
Not cooling
No water or ice cube production

Possible Causes
Filter bypass installed.
Water filter leaking or needs
replacing.
Water filter or bypass plug installed
backward or wrong filter installed.
Handle needs adjusting
The door alarm is beeping from a
door being ajar or open.
The refrigerator has detected
conditions that could indicate a
water leak has occurred.
Unit is in Sabbath mode
The cooling system is off
Supply line or shutoff valve is
clogged
Water filter is clogged
Filter cartridge not properly installed Remove and reinstall filter cartridge,
Icemaker is turned off
What to Do
Install correct water filter.
Replace water filter or install filter bypass
plug.
Remove filter or bypass plug, rotate it 180
degrees and reinstall.

detailed instructions.
Close the door to turn off the alarm, or
to disable the door alarm simultaneously
hold the Fridge and Ice Maker buttons for
three seconds.
Check the AutoFill pitcher for water leaks.
Removing and reinstalling the pitcher will
reset the alarm.
Simultaneously hold the Freezer, Ice
Maker and AutoFill buttons for three
seconds to exit Sabbath mode.

Call a plumber
Replace filter cartridge or remove filter
and install bypass plug*
being certain that it locks in place.
Check that the icemaker is turned on. See
