Switching OFF the Engine
To avoid start-up problems and damage to the engine due to humidity, allow
the engine to run for some minutes before switching off.
Release the actuator lever for the rotating auger (17) and push the throttle
lever in direction to the turtle symbol (
minutes in this position and switch off the engine with the ON/OFF switch.
Cleaning the clogged Discharge Chute
1. Release the actuator lever for the rotating auger (17) and switch off the
engine with the ON/OFF switch (8).
2. Wait approx. 10 seconds until the rotating parts come to standstill. When
cleaning the chute always use a suitable cleaning tool (wooden stick or
similar). Never insert your hand into the discharge chute.
Cleaning the Snow Thrower
After each use remove dirt with a suitable tool, preferably a hand broom.
Clean the housing from salt and chemicals by carefully pouring warm
water over the housing. Thoroughly dry the snow thrower.
Clean the discharge chute with hot resp. warm water.
Wipe the engine of the snow thrower with a lightly wet cloth or a hand
broom with soft bristles.
Maintenance Cycles
Switch off the engine prior to maintain the snow thrower. Always allow the
snow thrower to cool down sufficiently. Please mind that the engine, the
muffler and other parts are still hot. There is risk of burns.
When using the snow thrower for long time, check the engine oil level after
each use.
Check the fuel level before using the machine again.
Preferably replace the engine oil after approx. 20 hours of operation.
Clean resp. replace the air filter after approx. 50 hours of operation.
Inspect the spark plug after approx. 10 hours of operation. If necessary, clean
the spark plug with a copper wire brush. Replace the spark plug after approx.
50 hours of operation.
