Throwing Snow
Make sure the area to be cleaned is free from obstacles and foreign objects.
1. Push the throttle lever (4) in direction to the rabbit symbol (if you have not
already done so).
2. Adjust the snow discharge direction with the crank (3) for the discharge
chute. The discharge chute (12) can be turned up to 90° to the right and to
the left.
3. To adjust the throwing distance, first unscrew the wing screws (11) on the
discharge chute (12) and adjust the chute deflector (10). The more the
chute deflector (10) is tilted backwards, the wider the snow will be thrown.

Hint: During wind, tilt the chute deflector as much as possible so the snow
will be thrown close to the ground.
4. For starting the rotating auger (9), pull the actuator lever (17) backwards in
direction to the push bar (18). Hold the actuator lever and the push bar
firmly with both hands and push the snow thrower over the area to be
cleaned.
Make sure not to overload the capacity of the engine by trying to clean the
snow to fast from the path. Please note most efficient snow throwing is
accomplished when the snow is removed immediately after it falls.
Whenever possible, try to discharge the snow down wind direction.
The max. working width is 520 mm and the max. snow layer that can be
cleaned is 258 mm.
When removing wet packed snow, move the snow thrower slowly forth
and back into the wet snow. Make sure the wet packed snow does not
cause the rotating auger to slow down or the discharge chute to become
clogged. In snow of greater depth than the machine and snowdrifts, use
the same back and forth moving technique. Please note that much more
time will be required to remove snow of this type than level snow.
