Functional Description

The vole repeller P7940 produces a sonic sound of approx. 400 Hz at 40 second intervals.
Since most underground rodents have poor eyesight but have a good sense of hearing, these

low frequency vibrations have an irritating effect on these animals. This causes these types of
animal to migrate or avoid the area surrounding the device. The device works on moles, voles,
mice, etc.
The device operates until you remove the batteries or until they are flat.
Inserting the Batteries
Insert the batteries in the device as follows:
• Screw the green closing cap off the device by turning it anti-
• Insert the batteries (3x 1.5V batteries; type D) into the battery
• Afterwards, place the closing cap onto the device and screw
Installation
Place the device in direct vicinity of animal traces. The device is effective in all directions in a
circle. Under optimum conditions the device covers an area of up to 500 m². However, the soil
properties can have a significant influence on the range. Dry, sandy soil and big rocks, roots,
etc. have a negative effect on the coverage area. The effect is interrupted by buildings. In order
to cover a larger area, several devices might have to be used.
Chose an appropriate spot for the device, e.g. the lawn or a flower bed. Push the vole repeller,
with the tip of the ground spike first, into the ground.
The device may only be pushed into the ground by hand. Do not hit the product with a hard
object to drive it into the ground. The green closing cap must not get in contact with the ground.
Leave a gap of approx. 2cm between the ground and the lower edge of the green closing cap.
In hard soils, it might be necessary to make a suitable hole first, e.g., by driving a wooden stake
into the ground. Slightly trample the soil around the device.
The effect of the device can be seen after approx. 2 Weeks. Let the device operate for a longer
period of time to prevent rodents from coming back.

tight by turning it in clockwise direction.
Make sure the closing cap is firmly seated. This guarantees protection against mois-
ture ingress.
Only use batteries of the prescribed type. Use alkaline batteries to achieve as long
a period of operation as possible.
Cold temperatures have a negative influence on the service life of the batteries
(reduced operating time).
Replace the batteries every 4-6 months, but at latest when a sound can no longer be
heard. Remove flat batteries immediately to avoid leaking and subsequent damage.
The product is only approved for operation with 3 x 1.5 batteries (type D). Do not use
any other power supply.
Animals have different levels of sensitivity to low-frequency ultrasonic signals. While
some escape immediately, others may not be affected as much. An accustoming
effect is also possible. You could then change the mounting location, for instance.
Never barricade animals in a room in which the product is operated. This is
cruel to animals! Give the animals a chance to escape.
Do not apply force when you set up the device, e.g. hammer blows on the
device. This will damage the product. Try to position the vole repeller where
nobody will trip over it. Take care to ensure that no leads are damaged. There-
fore, before installing, make sure that there are no utility conduits (water, elec-
tricity, gas, etc.) running through the spot chosen.
The product is adequately protected against damp and rain. However, it must
not be exposed to direct and powerful water sprays. The product must not be
installed directly in water, e.g., in a garden pond. Therefore, also make sure
that there is no risk of puddles forming in the installation location.
If you have placed the device in a location where you work with a lawn mower,
lawn trimmer etc., make sure that you do not damage the vole repeller with
these tools.
Remove the device from the ground when frost or snow is forecast.
With respect to a long, trouble-free period of operation, we recommend stor-
ing the vole repeller in a dry, warm room during the winter or when it is not
used for a longer period.
