2. Install Spout
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Use care when installing
the spout assembly to prevent damage to the O ring seal on the
outside of the sleeve.
- Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant around the
underside of the spout according to the putty manufacturer's
instructions.
- Install the spout on the sleeve by carefully pressing down until the
spout base contacts the deck, rim, or tile.
- Align the spout as desired and tighten the screw.
- Place the O ring over the plug button. Insert the plug button over the
screw. The plug should be flush with the spout body.
3. Install Handles
- Turn the hot valve clockwise and the cold valve counterclockwise to
the closed position.
- Seat the O ring in the groove inside the escutcheon.
- Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant around the base of
the escutcheon according to the putty manufacturer's instructions.
- Position the escutcheon over the valve body.
- Thread the escutcheon lock sleeve onto the valve body until it
contacts the escutcheon. The sleeve will hold the escutcheon in place.
