Before you start work, always make sure that there are no electric
cables, water or other pipelines or similar hidden in the masonry that
may sustain damage.
Wear hand protection, as this will protect your hands from
crushing and grazing.
Wear a helmet and, if applicable, install partition walls to
protect yourself and any other staff from flying broken-off debris.
Always hold the tool in both hands, and make sure you are
standing firmly.
Before you start working, always check that the chisel and bit are
firmly secured into the chuck, and will not spin out of the machine
by accident.
Check the chuck for damage and wear on a regular basis.
Only start the tool in hammer-action when held firmly against a
workpiece such as the wall or ceiling.
Unplug your tool from the mains before changing drill or chisel bits
or after you finish work; remove any chisel or drill bits from the drill
after you finish work.
Keep your tool out of children's reach, and do not let anyone use
the machine without instruction.
