Before First Use
• Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete and undamaged.
• completely unwind the power cord (6).
• Do not use the appliance if the glass ceramic grill plate (1) shows any cracks or any other sign of
damage.
• clean the glass grill as described under Cleaning and Care and dry it thoroughly.
Note: The heating elements of the glass grill have a protective coating. To remove the protective
layers on the heating elements, heat up the glass grill (without food) for approx. 10 minutes.
This could cause a slight build-up of smoke and odour. This doesn't cause any harm nor does it mean that
your appliance does not work properly. Make sure that the room is well ventilated!
After this preheating process your glass grill is ready for operation. Let it completely cool down and clean it
as described under Cleaning and Care.
Warning: Plastic bags are a danger to toddlers and babies, therefore keep them away to avoid
suffocation.
Operation
Broiling at the table
Use your glass grill for a unique cooking experience. Gather your family and friends around the table and
prepare your favorite foods in a healthy, fast and easy way, like broiling meat and fish or preparing pancakes,
etc.
The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high during operation. Therefore, do not
touch the appliance during and/or immediately after operation.
Tip: Heat up the appliance before starting the broiling process.
Attention: Do not use any frozen food, bring meat and other food items to room temperature,
before cooking.
Always make sure that you have inserted the oil collecting tray (2) at the back of the appliance
before usage.
1. Place the glass grill in the middle of the table.
2. connect the appliance to a properly installed and easily accessible socket.
3. Switch the appliance on by choosing the desired temperature setting (4) to heat up the appliance. The
indicator light lights up (5). Once the set temperature is reached, the indicator light (5) goes off.
In order to avoid that the food will stick to the grill surface, apply some oil on the glass ceramic grill plate
(1).
Only use a cooking oil with a high smoke point like canola or Sunflower.
4. Grill your favorite food to your liking.
5. Use the glass ceramic scraper (7) to remove food residue and excess oil from the glass ceramic grill plate
(1) and move it into the oil collecting tray (2).
6. After use, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains.
Let the appliance completely cool down before cleaning.
