3. Cam-lock Adapter – An adapter is fitted to the pump's intake or discharge
port (Fig. 3-1). The hose has the complementary adapter with two cam-
lock levers (Fig. 3-2). The hose adapter is fitted over the pump adapter and
the cam-lock levers (Fig. 3-3) are pushed down to lock the
adapters together.
CONNECTING THE SUCTION HOSE
1. Connect a non-collapsible suction hose to the pump's inlet. The hose
should not be longer than 19-5/8 ft (5.98 m).
2. Attach the strainer basket to the other end of the suction hose by inserting
the adapter to the hose end.
3. Fix with a hose clamp.
