WORKING INSTRUCTIONS
Parallel cuts (90°)
Push the cutting unit to the rear stop using the handle. Always make sure the cutting edge moves freely above the support plate. Then loosen
the two knurled screws and pull out the parallel stop to its maximum extended length of 300 mm (Fig. 2.1).
Place the tile in the unit so it is in contact with the front stop. You can set cutting widths from 50 – 300 mm (example = 200 mm) using the
parallel stop, or you can mark the cutting width on the tile with a suitable pen.
Then tighten the knurled screws of the parallel stop (Fig. 2.2).
Scoring the tile surface: Position the cutting wheel on the tile and, using the handle, push the cutting unit all the way to the front stop while
exerting pressure on the tile (Fig. 2.3). Swivel the handle up as far as it will go in the direction of the arrow. This automatically lifts the cutting
edge above the tile (Fig. 2.4).
Breaking the tile: Push the tile parallel to the support plate until the tile and breaking point completely overlap. Caution: The breaking point
must be precisely centred below the slot scored in the tile (Fig. 2.5). Using the handle, push the cutting unit towards the rear stop until the
cutting edge is exactly above the breaking point. Then press the handle down to break the tile (Fig. 2.6). The tile breaks along the scored line.
Using the handle, push the cutting unit to the front stop and remove the tile (Fig. 2.7).
Diagonal cuts (45°), square tiles
Using the handle, push the cutting unit to the rear stop and remove the parallel stop as shown (Fig. 3.1). Align the tile so that its corner is in
the V-groove of the stop block in the unit (Fig. 3.2).
Scoring the tile surface: Position the cutting wheel on the tile and, using the handle, push the cutting unit all the way to the front stop while
exerting pressure on the tile (Fig. 3.3). Swivel the handle up as far as it will go in the direction of the arrow. This automatically lifts the cutting
edge above the tile (Fig. 3.4).
Breaking the tile: Push the tile parallel to the support plate until the tile and breaking point completely overlap. Caution: The breaking point
must be precisely centred below the slot scored in the tile (Fig. 3.5). Using the handle, push the
cutting unit towards the rear stop until the cutting edge is exactly above the breaking point. Then press the handle down to break the tile (Fig.
3.6). The tile breaks along the scored line. Using the handle, push the cutting unit to the front stop and remove the tile (Fig. 2.7).
Transport
For transporting, push the cutting unit fully to the end of the device as shown. Then dismantle the parallel stop as shown and carry the tile
cutter by the handle with one hand (Fig. 4).
