d) Setting the torque or selecting the drill mode
By turning the torque-setting ring (2) the desired torque can be set at which the sliding
clutch is activated. Thus, the screw cannot be overtightened, e.g. when screwing it in; the
screw flushes with the material surface if the torque setting has been selected properly.
For drilling the setting ring can be set to a special position (marked by a drill symbol). In
this position the sliding clutch is deactivated, the torque is not limited.
The higher the setting value (see imprint at the cordless screwdriver), the
higher the torque available.
Low setting value:
soft materials, small screws
High setting value:
hard materials, large screws
Drill symbol:
no torque limitation
For screwing out screws select a higher value or the "Drill" setting (drill symbol).
e) On/off switch
To be able to operate the on/off switch (7), the turn-over switch (4) must not be at its central position (in this position
the on/off switch is blocked).
The number of revolutions of the drive depends on the degree to which the on/off switch (7) is pressed.
The mini cordless screwdriver is provided with two revolutions:
If the on/off switch is pressed slightly, about 200 rpm are offered as the number of revolutions (idle running).
If the on/off switch is pressed completely, about 550 rpm are offered as the number of revolutions.
f) Changing and/or fastening the drill chuck
To mount special tools at the retaining element of the cordless screwdriver it
might be necessary to unscrew the drill chuck.
First, set the turn-over switch (4) to its central position (blocking the drive).
Open the drill chuck completely and unscrew the screw inside the drill chuck
by means of an appropriate crosshead screwdriver and take it out of the drill
chuck (
).
The screw has a left-handed thread, therefore turn it to the right to
release it, clockwise!
Then, insert a wrench into the drill chuck and tighten the drill chuck. Set the
torque ring to "Drill".
Use a rubber mallet to beat onto the wrench as shown in the figure on the
right-hand side (anticlockwise!) so that the drill chuck releases (
Then, the drill chuck can be unscrewed (turn anticlockwise,
For assembly proceed in the same manner in reverse (contrary
senses of rotation in the figures!).
Take care that the screw in the drill chuck has a left-handed thread,
it is to be turned anticlockwise to be tightened.

8. Handling

Observe all safety instructions in these operating instructions!
The product may not become damp or wet. Do not touch the cordless screwdriver and plug charging set with
your damp or wet hands! There is risk of a fatal electric shock!
• Avoid the following unfavourable ambient conditions during operation or transportation:
- damp or humidity which is too high
- extreme coldness or heat
Figure 4
- direct sunlight
- dust or combustible gases, vapours or solvents (Explosion hazard!)
- strong vibrations
- strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loudspeakers.
• Always check the product for damage every time before using it. In case you notice any damage, do not operate
the product any longer and bring it to a specialist workshop.
• It must be assumed that the safe operation is no longer possible, if
- the device has been visibly damaged,
- the device does not longer operate and
- it has been stored for long periods under unfavourable conditions or
- it has been subject to considerable stress in transit.
• Never place the cordless screwdriver and the plug-in charging set onto valuable furniture surfaces without sufficient
protection measures.
• Allow the cordless screwdriver with the accumulator installed to cool down before charging it.
• Ensure that the cordless screwdriver/plug-in charging set is ventilated sufficiently during the charging process.
Monitor the charging process. Do not cover the plug-in charging set/cordless screwdriver, keep it at a sufficient
distance to other objects etc.
1
• Separate the plug-in charging set from the cordless screwdriver as soon as possible after having completed the
charging process. Ensure that the cordless screwdriver is not permanently connected to the plug-in charging set,
because this could damage the accumulator in the cordless screwdriver!
• After about 6-8 hours required for the charging process, pull the low-voltage plug out of the cordless screwdriver,
then pull the plug-in charging set out of the mains socket.
• Do not insert any objects, e.g. paper clips, ballpoint pens, pins or knitting needles etc. into the ventilation slits or
openings of the device. This cannot only cause risk of product damage but also risk of a fatal electric shock!
2
• Do not pull the plug-in charging set out of the mains socket by the cable, risk of a fatal electric shock! Pull the
plug-in charging set always out of the mains socket by the casing (hold it at its left and right sides with your hand
and then pull it out).
• It is not permitted to open or disassemble the product (cordless screwdriver and plug-in charging set). None of the
components inside the product is to be maintained by the user.
• Put on appropriate clothes when operating the product and take additional protective measures (safety goggles, dust
protection, ear protection).
3
• Keep order at your workstation, ensure good light conditions. Keep children away from your workstation.
• Protect the workpiece against sliding or turning. For example, use a vice for drilling operations.
