WARNING! Many accidents occur because of un-
ƒ
foreseeable situations. Please pay attention that
drilling-out a small hole may cause the drill bit to jam
in the hole.
Remember to use a "wood-pecker" action on deep
ƒ
holes to allow the swarf to be ejected from the hole.
If the drill bit snags, switch off immediately to pre-
ƒ
vent permanent damage to the drill.
Try running the drill in reverse to remove the bit.
ƒ
Keep the drill in line with the hole. Ideally, the drill
ƒ
bit should enter at right angles to the work. If the
angle is changed during drilling, this could cause the
bit to snap off blocking the hole and perhaps caus-
ing injury.
Reduce pressure as the drill is about to break through
ƒ
the item being drilled.
Don't force the drill, let it work at its own pace.
ƒ
Keep the drill bit sharp.
ƒ
DRILLING WOOD
For maximum performance when drilling larger
ƒ
holes, use auger bits or spade bits for wood drilling.
Set the tool to the drill mode.
ƒ
Begin drilling at a very low speed to prevent the bit
ƒ
from slipping off the starting point. Increase the
speed as it bites into the wood.
When drilling through holes, place a block of wood
ƒ
behind the work piece to prevent ragged or splin-
tered edges on the back of the hole.
DRILLING METAL
For maximum performance, use HSS drill bits for
ƒ
metal drilling.
Set the tool to the drill mode. Mark off the centre of
ƒ
the hole using a centre punch.
Use a suitable lubricant for the material you are
ƒ
working on.
Begin drilling at a very low speed to prevent the bit
ƒ
from slipping off the starting point.
Always clamp sheet metal. Support thin metal with
ƒ
a block of wood to avoid distorting it.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle raw materials instead of disposing as waste.
Machine, accessories and packaging should be sorted
for environment - friendly recycling. The plastic com-
ponents are labeled for categorized recycling.

This product is warranted in accordance with the le-
gal/country specific regulations, effective from the
date of purchase by the first user. Damage attribut-
able to normal wear and tear, overload or improper
handling will be excluded from the guarantee. In
case of a claim, please send the machine, completely
assembled, to your dealer or the service Centre for
electric power tools.

AVERTISSEMENTS DE SÉCURITÉ GÉNÉ-
RAUX POUR L'OUTIL
WARNING! Lire tous les avertissements de sécuri-
té et toutes les instructions. Ne pas suivre les aver-
tissements et instructions peut donner lieu à un choc
électrique, un incendie et/ou une blessure sérieuse.
Conserver tous les avertissements et toutes les
instructions pour pouvoir s'y reporter ultérieure-
ment. Le terme «outil» dans les avertissements fait ré-
férence à votre outil électrique alimenté par le secteur
(avec cordon d'alimentation) ou votre outil fonction-
nant sur batterie (sans cordon d'alimentation).
SÉCURITÉ DE LA ZONE DE TRAVAIL
Conserver la zone de travail propre et bien
f
éclairée. Les zones en désordre ou sombres sont
propices aux accidents.
Ne pas faire fonctionner les outils électriques
f
en atmosphère explosive, par exemple en pré-
sence de liquides inflammables, de gaz ou de
poussières. Les outils électriques produisent des
étincelles qui peuvent enflammer les poussières ou
les fumées.
Maintenir les enfants et les personnes pré-
f
sentes à l'écart pendant l'utilisation de l'ou-
til. Les distractions peuvent vous faire perdre le
contrôle de l'outil.
SÉCURITÉ ÉLECTRIQUE
Il faut que les fiches de l'outil électrique soient
f
adaptées au socle. Ne jamais modifier la fiche
de quelque façon que ce soit. Ne pas utiliser
d'adaptateurs avec des outils à branchement de
terre. Des fiches non modifiées et des socles adap-
tés réduiront le risque de choc électrique.
Éviter tout contact du corps avec des surfaces
f
reliées à la terre telles que les tuyaux, les ra-
diateurs, les cuisinières et les réfrigérateurs.
Il existe un risque accru de choc électrique si votre
corps est relié à la terre.
Ne pas exposer les outils à la pluie ou à des
f
conditions humides. La pénétration d'eau à l'inté-
rieur d'un outil augmentera le risque de choc élec-
trique.
Ne pas maltraiter le cordon. Ne jamais utiliser le
f
cordon pour porter, tirer ou débrancher l'outil.
Maintenir le cordon à l'écart de la chaleur, du
lubrifiant, des arêtes ou des parties en mouve-
ment. Les cordons endommagés ou emmêlés aug-
mentent le risque de choc électrique.
Lorsqu'on utilise un outil à l'extérieur, utiliser
f
un prolongateur adapté à l'utilisation exté-
rieure. L'utilisation d'un cordon adapté à l'utilisa-
tion extérieure réduit le risque de choc électrique.
Si l'usage d'un outil dans un emplacement hu-
f
mide est inévitable, utiliser une alimentation
protégée par un dispositif à courant différen-
tiel résiduel (RCD). L'usage d'un RCD réduit le
risque de choc électrique.
