General Safety Instructions
WARNING ! READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below, may result in electric shock, fire and /or serious personal injury.
Work area
1. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
2. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may
ignite the dust or fumes.
3. Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Electrical Safety
(The following applies only to tools with a separate battery pack)
A battery operated tool with integral batteries or a separate battery pack must be recharged only with the specified charger for the battery. A charger that may
be suitable for one type of battery may create a risk of fire when used with another battery.
Personal Safety
1. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence
of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
2. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Contain long hair. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes,
jewellery, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
3. Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switch is in the locked or off position before inserting batter pack. Carrying tools with your finger on the switch invites
accidents.
4. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enable better control of the tool in unexpected situations
5. Use safety equipment. Always wear hearing and eye protection, Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat must be used for appropriate conditions.
Power tool use and care
1. Use clamps or other practical ways to secure and support the work piece to a stable platform. Holding the work piece by hand or against your body is unstable
and may lead to loss of control.
2. Do not force tool. Use the correct tool for your application. The correct tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it is designed.
3. Do not use tool if switch does not turn it on of off. A tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
4. Store idle tools out of reach of children and other untrained persons. Tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users
5. Maintain tools with care. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained tools with sharp cutting edge are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
6. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other condition that may affect the tool's operation. If damaged, have the tool
serviced before using .Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
7. Use only accessories that are supplied with your model. Other accessories that may not be suitable for this tool and may create a risk of injury when used.
Recommended and Proper Use
This hand held power tool is a cordless rotary hammer. This power product is supplied without batteries or charger. This power tool should only be operated
combined with the recommended by the manufacturer genuine Bormann battery and charger.
Device-specific safety instructions for rotary hammers
a) Wear hearing protection. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
b) Use the additional handles supplied with the device. Losing control can result in injury.
c) Hold the device by the insulated gripping surfaces when performing work where the tool can hit hidden power lines. Contact with a live line can also
energize metal parts of the device and cause an electric shock.
d) If possible, use clamps or a vice to hold the workpiece.
e) Always switch off the hammer drill before putting it down.
f) Always make sure there is sufficient lighting.
g) Do not exert any pressure on the hammer drill, otherwise the motor could brake. Do not apply pressure to the hammer drill. So you get better results and
protect the tool.
h) Keep the work area free from trip hazards.
i) Do not allow the device to be operated by anyone under the age of 18.
j) Use only bits in perfect condition.
k) Before drilling, check whether there is enough space for the drill under the workpiece.
l) Do not touch the bit immediately after the process is complete. It gets very hot.
m) Do not put your hands under the workpiece.
n) Never remove dust, chips or waste near the drill by hand.
o) Never leave carpets, clothes, cords, cords and similar materials in the work area.
p) Secure the workpiece correctly.
q) If you are disturbed while working, end the process and switch off the hammer drill before you take your eyes off the workpiece.
r) Check regularly that all nuts, screws and other fasteners are properly tightened.
s) When using the cordless rotary hammer, meet suitable security measures, e.g. B. Use safety glasses or a protective shield, wear hearing protection and
protective clothing, including protective gloves. If drilling is generating dust or flying particles, wear a dust mask.
