CONNECTIONS
Power must be supplied to the thermostat through 30mA RCD and overload
protected through maximum 16A fuses.
The thermostat will only obtain IP44 ingress protection if, the electrical socket
that the thermostat is connected to and the electrical plug of the device
connected to the outlet socket of thermostat, has IP44 classification when
connected. When device is connected to the outlet socket, let this hang in the
cable to obtain the best protection against water. Fix the cable of the con-
nected device to any construction near the outlet socket, to limit the weight
on the outlet socket.
The thermostat measures the temperature with the sensor at the end of the
sensor cable, so this must be installed accordingly to where the heating or
cooling must be controlled. For example in case of frost protection of pipes,
the sensor must be installed preferably at the coldest point of the pipe –
under the insulation of the pipe keeping min. 20mm distance to any heating
source.
