Top adjustment screw
Remember that you need:
– to unscrew to move the stop towards the
outside of the frame
– to screw to move the stop towards the centre of
the wheel
Top tip: You can adjust the cable stops without a
cable by manipulating the derailleur manually.
Your derailleur still doesn't move to the cable stop
on the large cog side? Make sure your cable isn't
too tight. Unscrew the cable clamp screw and test
the cable stops manually.
Adjustment of the guide pulley
Set the derailleur on the largest sprocket. Turn the
pulley adjustment screw so that the defl ection is
aligned with the sprocket teeth.
Attention, for the Soar and Amplitude models, set
the derailleur on the small sprocket and check
that it does not come into contact with the frame.
Low adjustment screw
Otherwise lower the pulley with the screw.
3. How do you adjust the tension of the
derailleur cable?
Before adjusting the cable tension, we recommend
loosening the cable, then positioning the adjuster
at the halfway point. This little trick is useful if you
want to increase or reduce the tension later.
•
Position your chain on the small cog.
•
Manually pull the derailleur cable tight, then
adjust the tightening screw.
•
Check to make sure the gears change smoothly.
If the gears struggle to go up: increase the tension
using the adjuster.
If the gears struggle to go down: decrease the
tension using the adjuster.
Make the adjustments gradually, making sure the
gears change smoothly and increasing/reducing
the cable tension.
4. The importance of making sure the gears
change smoothly for fi nding the right setting
It is really important to make sure the gears
change smoothly when you are adjusting your
rear derailleur! It must be suitable for the way you
