WARNING!
Always operate the machine with gripping the front and rear handles by both hands.
Adjusting rear handle position (Fig. 4)
• To reduce fatigue when trimming hedges, the
handle can be swiveled through 90° to the left or
right.
• Release the handle by pressing the lock button.
• Turn the handle until it is locked.
Starting the blade
• Remove the blade protective cover.
• To start the blade, depress the safety lever (5) and the throttle trigger (6) at the same
time and hold in position.
Adjusting engine idle speed (Fig. 5)
• If the engine tends to stop frequently at idle speed, turn
the speed adjustment screw anti-clockwise.
• If the cutting blade keeps moving after releasing the
throttle trigger (6), turn the speed adjustment screw
clockwise.
5.5- Hedge trimming techniques
• In general, start cutting from the front and sides of the hedge first, then the top .
WARNING!
DO NOT use this machine in cutting twigs larger than 28mm in diameter. Use
pruning shears instead.
WARNING!
DO NOT use the hedge trimmer as a lever to lift or move objects.
Vertical cutting (Fig. 6a)
• Swivel the rear handle at 90° either left or right is comfortable to your working position.
• Swing the cutting blade from the bottom of the hedge upwards in an arc, then lower the
nose of the blade, move along the hedge and then swing the blade up again in an arc.
Horizonal cutting (Fig. 6b)
• Ensure the rear handle is at upright position.
• Tilt the cutting side of the blade at an angle of 0° to 10°.
• Horizontally swing the cutting blade in an arc towards the outside of the hedge so that the
cut foliage is swept to the ground.
• Repeat the procedure several times on wide hedges.
