• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool.
• Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication.
• Do not overreach. Maintain proper footing and balance at all times. Do not operate the
machine while standing on ladder or any other unstable footing.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves
away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving
parts.
• Do not override or interrupt or modify any protective and safety devices of the machine.
• Never operate the machine if the On/Off switch is faulty or not functioning.
• Never leave the product running unattended.

3.3- Special warnings when using the product
• Only use the product outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Never start or run the engine in
an enclosed area. The exhaust emissions may contain toxic carbon monoxide (CO), which
may cause serious injury or death.
• Plan your work and allow plenty of time for rest.
• Continual and regular users should monitor closely the condition of their hands and fingers.
Prolong exposure to vibration could result in whitefinger disease (Raynaud's phenomenon)
or carpal tunnel syndrome. If any of the above symptoms appear, seek medical advice
immediately.
• The engine silencer and cylinder become hot and can cause a burn. Do not touch.
• A certain level of noise emission from the machine cannot be avoided. Schedule noisy
works in accordance with local legislation and at specific times (seek advice from your local
municipality).
• You should carry with you the following accessories and parts:

Tools and accessories provided with the machine

Properly reserved fuel

A spare blade

Materials to notify the working area (e.g. rope, warning cones...)

A whistle (to alert co-workers; or in case of emergency)

• DO NOT operate or leave the machine in bad weather nor damp conditions, such as raining,
snowing, high humidity or low visibility.
• Never start cutting until you have a clear work area and adopt a secure footing. Constantly
check the condition of the working area to avoid any accidents resulting from impacts or
hitting obstacles such as stumps, stones, cans, broken glass...etc.
• Beware of kickback, which could lead to loss of control of the machine.
• Do not force the tool.
• Before transportataion, make sure the machine is completely stopped, spark plug is
removed, and the blade protective cover is in place. Never transport the machine on rough
road and long distance on a vehicle without draining the fuel.
• Beware of overhead power lines.
