4.2- Assembly
WARNING!
Before any intervention on product, always disconnect it from the air supply.
Fitting the quick connector
• This tool is supplied with male quick connector (6).
• Select the connector that is compatible with your air supply system.
• Apply PTFE tape (not included) to the screw threads of the quick connector. This will help
to maintain an air tight seal.
• Remove the protective plug from the air inlet (3).
• Using a spanner (not included) to fit the quick connector into the air inlet located at the base
of the handle.
Connecting to air supply
• Make sure the air tool is set at "OFF" position.
• Remove the protective cap from the air inlet (3).
• Connect the air tool to the air supply. Do not allow supply pressure to exceed the maximum
stated in Table 1.
• Ensure that all parts of the system (hoses, couplers, etc.) are correctly rated for the air
pressure to be used.
Fitting abrasive disc
• Select the disc to be used which MUST be 150mm diameter with hook and loop backing.
• Line up the holes in the disc with those on the sanding pad. (This is necessary for dust
extraction purposes). Press the disc firmly onto the pad to secure it.
Attaching and removing sanding pad
• WARNING! Always disconnect the tool from the air supply before fitting or removing
sanding pad.
• To attach the sanding pad, use the supplied wrench to hold the crank shaft securely, then
align the sanding pad screw with the crank shaft and turn the pad clockwise until hand
tighten.
• To remove the sanding pad, slip the wrench between the sander and sanding pad and hold
the crank shaft securely so it cannot spin. Unscrew the sanding pad by turning it counter-
clockwise.
Setting tool speed
• The tool speed can be adjusted by turning the air regulator (5). Do not allow supply pressure
to exceed the maximum stated in Table 1.
V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
This air sander is a pneumatic hand tool, it is designed to be used with a sanding pad and suitable
abrasive discs for sanding materials, including metal, wood, stone and plastic. The tool is
intended for domestic use, but not for artisanal, commercial, professional and/or industrial use.
5.2- Operation
• Attached a suitable abrasive disc onto the tool.
• Connect the air tool to the air supply.
