6. Adaptation
To guarantee a correct fit and the best protection, the vest must be positioned properly.
Use a measuring tape and the table to help you ensure that the correct size is being purchased.
When fitted correctly, the vest is long enough to protect the hips but not so long as to make contact with the saddle. The vest
is worn as a lightweight outer layer. This should therefore prevent it from hampering you if you wear it over riding apparel.
The waist size can be adjusted using an adjustable belt on the inside.
7. Care instructions
The care instructions must be followed in order to maintain the vest's function over its entire lifespan.
7.1 Cleaning
Do not wash or dry-clean the vest. Do not immerse in water. If the vest gets wet, allow it to dry in a shaded place. Use a soft,
damp cloth to remove marks. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. Protect the trigger mechanism from moisture.
7.2 Storage
High temperatures should be avoided (including prolonged periods of direct sunlight). Never leave the vest in a car. Only use to
a limited degree in rain, and protect it against extreme moisture and wet conditions. Ideally always store the vest hanging up.
Never fold it or roll it up. When storing flat, ensure nothing is left lying on the vest.
7.3 Maintenance and exchange
Seek the advice of a specialist if the vest exhibits signs of wear and tear:
• The outer or inner material becomes brittle or develops holes
• The tubing parts of the air channel are no longer covered by fabric
• The trigger housing or cartridge is broken, bent or rusty
• The fastening belt is brittle or worn
• The material exhibits extreme signs of wear and tear or colour fading
