used in compliance with these instructions, with the described configurations and specified use. An incorrect and

liability for damage caused further to an incorrect or inappropriate use of the PPE, or due to maintenance or repairs that
are not carried out on the premises of SPASCIANI S.p.A. or their expressly authorized service centres.

▪ Do not use any devices which show signs of damage, defects or being incomplete when they are to be used. Do not

All the indications contained in a box with the Ex logo shown on the side refer to explosion risk and
indicate those assemblies produced by SPASCIANI S.p.A. suitable to work in the presence of potentially
explosive atmospheres (check if the "Ex" symbol is present on the device marking). Failure to comply
with the prescribed regulations can lead to serious risks to personal health and damage to property
near the equipment described in this manual.

1. DESCRIPTION
The escape hoods Series H 900 have been designed to be used as filtering respiratory protective device and offer
protection in case of leaks from contaminated atmospheres of chemical substances; they are disposable.
The escape hoods must be used only in the case of danger; they must not be used under normal working conditions.
The escape hoods are available in one size only.
The H 900 series hoods consist of:
- Bag made from antistatic fabric with belt loops, ring for wall-application and side rings for use with shoulder strap.
The hood is placed inside the bag, sealed in an airtight pocket. The safety seals on the packaging is meant to ensure
the hood has not been used.
- Bright orange hood, equipped with large anti-fogging screen, self-adjusting elastic harness and elastic sealing collar.
- Anatomical-shape silicone half-mask designed to perfectly adapt to any face shape.
- Expiration valve protected by cover.
- Filter of different types that offer different protection levels:
