3.2 POSITIONING
It is advisable to unpack the stove only after
reaching its destination. Place the unit in the
immediate vicinity of the flue pipe. The stove
must be positioned by grasping the smoke
outlet hole.
Protect all structures that may catch fire if
exposed to excessive heat.
Floors made from flammable materials such as:
wood, parquet, linoleum, laminates or carpets
must be protected by a suitably-sized fireproof
base (P) underneath stove. Such base may be
made from steel, slate, glass or stone and must
cover the floor in the part underneath the stove
and the flue attachment, and must extend at
least 20 cm from each side and 60 cm in the
entire zone.
The manufacturer declines all liability for any
alterations to the characteristics of the material
making up the floor underneath the protective
base.
The unit must be installed on a floor with an
adequate load-bearing capacity. Otherwise, a
plate will need to be used to distribute the load.
The stove should be kept with a clearance of
at least (d1) 15 cm from the rear panel, 40 cm
from each side and 60 cm (d2) in the entire zone
where heat is radiated.
Ceilings made of combustible materials (such
as wood), if at a height of less than two metres,

3.3 CONNECTION TO THE FLUE PIPE
d1
must be suitably protected with insulating
material.
If the smoke duct is to pass through the ceiling,
it will need to be properly insulated using
diaphragms
in
non-combustible
material.
The connection between the flue pipe and the
unit must be short enough that it favours draught
and prevents the formation of condensation in
the pipes.
It is important for the connection to the flue to
be sealed perfectly Imperfect sealing may let
air pass through the flue which will result in a
reduction of the stove's draught, along with
rapid, stubborn blackening of the door glass.
If you observe poor draught the first few times
you use the stove, make sure that the flue is not
blocked by debris, bird nests or other items in
the chimney top. Also, the stove and flue should
be connected according to the instructions,
without any narrows and with the flue fittings
hermetically sealed. If this problem occurs after
a period of normal operation, you will need to
check and clean the flue pipe, if this was not
possible prior to installation of the stove.
The unit should be connected to the flue pipe
using ducts which are of a diameter that is equal
to that of the collar on the working surface at the
hole for smoke outlet. The pipe must be installed
perpendicular to the unit. The horizontal section
of the pipe must be inclined at least 15° and its
length must not exceed the vertical section of
pipe by more than 1/3 (installed in the previous
section starting from the cast iron collar of the
stove).
