DANGER! BEWARE OF KICKBACK
WARNING: Kickback can lead to dangerous loss of control of the
chainsaw and result in serious or fatal injury to the chainsaw
operator or to anyone standing close by. Always be alert, because
rotational kickback and pinch kickback are major chainsaw
operating dangers and the leading cause of accidents.
BEWARE OF:

1. ROTATIONAL KICKBACK
2. THE PUSH (PINCH KICKBACK) AND PULL REACTIONS
KICKBACK may occur when the NOSE or TIP of the guide bar
touches an object or when a cut in wood closes and pinches the
saw chain.
TIP contact may, in some cases, cause a lightning-fast reverse
reaction, kicking the guide bar up and back toward the operator.
PINCHING of the saw chain along the BOTTOM of the guide bar
may PULL the chainsaw forward, away from the operator.
. Beware of kickback.

2. Do not attempt to hold the chainsaw
with one hand.
