3b.) Using tin snips, trim heat shield as shown in Figure 2. Reinstall the heat
shield after trimming using (4) nuts removed in previous steps.

5. Drill holes – Raise the hitch into position and align it with two foremost attachment holes. Use marker to mark a drill point at 1
both sides. Make sure the hitch sits straight with location marked. Lower the hitch down and use drill to drill a ½" hole, both sides.

4. Remove frame rail hardware – Using T25 star driver, remove (1) screw from
driver frame rail. Repeat for passenger side.
