Also follow the unit wiring diagram on page 19 as
a reference. The wiring diagram provided with the
unit takes priority over the on/off generic diagram
in the manual – if the unit wiring diagram shows
the wiring for induced draft, that is the drawing to
follow.
7. Inside the J-box, replace the main power switch
with the new 2-pole switch provided. HARNESS 1
connects incoming power to the COM side of the
2-pole switch. Use the HARNESS 1 illustration,
Figure 5 as a reference.
8. Connect the loose wires on HARNESS 4 per
Figure 10. The 4-pin plug remains inside the J-box.
9. Connect the loose wires on HARNESS 5 per
Figure 11. The 9-pin plug remains inside the J-box.
10. Remove the rectangular adapter plate at the lower
back of the J-box. Replace it with the adapter
plate that connects conduit assy 6A (3 wires, 120V
connections) to conduit assy 6B (24V connections),
so that the 2 socket connectors are inside the J-box.
11. Connect the 4-pin socket of HARNESS 6A to the
4-pin plug from HARNESS 4. Connect the 9-pin
socket of HARNESS 6B to the 9-pin plug from
HARNESS 5.
12. Connect the loose end of HARNESS 6A (3 wires,
120V) to the power vent (PV) control housing,
using the connector provided.
13. Connect the wires of HARNESS 6A to the
connections indicated on Figure 12.
14. Connect the loose end of HARNESS 6B (6 wire
terminations, 24V) to the PV control housing, using
the connector provided.

15. Connect the wires of HARNESS 6B to the
connections indicated on Figure 12.
16. Connect HARNESS 7 to the PV control housing.
The end with a GRN wire with stripped insulation
goes inside the PV control housing. The end with a
ring connector on the ground (GRN) lead goes to
the fan motor.
17. Connect the wires from HARNESS 7 to the power
vent controls as indicated on Figure 12.
18. Connect the loose end of HARNESS 7 to the fan
motor, using the connector provided.
19. Connect the wires from HARNESS 7 to the power
connections on the fan motor, per Figure 12.
20. Attach the cover to the PV control housing.
