PNEUMATIC BRAKE AND CLUTCH BLEEDER
Problems
The uid does not ow out of the
bleeder (5A - Fig. 4b) and does not
circulate in the motor car circuit.
The uid over ows at the ller cap.
PANNES
• The membrane (11) is broken.
• No pressure at the brake bleeder.
• The membrane (11) is new and
too rigid.
Causes
Solution
• Replace the membrane (11): open
the valve (2) and release the pressure
by turning the reducer (3) clockwise,
open the cap (1) and drain the uid
out of the vessel. Remove the screws
(12), remove the damaged cover,
lodge the new cover on the
corresponding holes (the dome
turned upwards), close with the
upper hemisphere and then screw
down all the screws.
• Press and turn the reducer (3)
clockwise until a pressure of 4 bar
can be read off the pressure gauge
(8); otherwise follow point 3
At the rst lling up the rubber cover
must be helped in its downward,
deforming movement. It is suf cient
to push down with the back of a long
screwdriver for a few centimetres.
