4.5 Condensate Drainage

The AC unit uses an evaporative condensate system. Any condensate that forms will re-evaporate into the surrounding air and
as such, does not require connection to a drain.

For safety and protection, the cooler includes internal leak detection to prevent condensate from entering the rack below by
turning off the cooling system and if equipped, activating the emergency ventilation system.
Optionally, you may configure the cooler with a drain tube for manual condensate removal. For this method, ensure the tube
has access to a nearby water drain.
Figure 6-2: Water drain port
• The optional drain tubing (included) diameter is 3/8" (10 mm) ID and 9.8 in. (250 mm) long.
• Pitch the discharge piping down and away from the cooler at a decline of 1 in. per 10 ft. (10 mm per 1 m).
• Ensure not to expose the drain tube to freezing temperatures.
• Perform a test with water to ensure the drainage system is working properly.
