TROUBLE SHOOTING
When repairs are needed, bring the tool to the nearest Princess Auto Ltd. If unable to do so, have a qualified
technician service the tool.
Problem
Irregular Darkening.
Auto-darkening filter does not darken
or flickers.
Poor vision.

Possible Causes
Headgear is set unevenly so the distance
between the eyes and the lens is different
from the left to the right side.
Front cover lens is dirty or
smoke covered.
Photo sensors may be dirty.
Weld current is too low.
Check the clear covers lenses and the
electronic filter lens for dirt or grime.
Check that the shade number selected is
correct for the welding process.
Suggested Solutions
Adjust headgear so distance between lens and
both eyes are equal.
Clean or replace external lens.
Remove external lens and wipe the photo sensors
clean with soft lint free cloth.
Select the slow position on the electronic lens and
make sure the viewing area is unobstructed.
Change to high sensitivity on the electronic lens.
Clean cover lenses and electric filter lens.
Adjust shade number for the welding process.
