Cleaning the interior
Before using the appliance for the first time, clean the interior and all internal accessories with
warm, soapy water to remove the characteristic odour of a new appliance, then dry thoroughly.
Important Do not use abrasive detergents or powders as they may damage the finish.
Temperature setting

Impact on food preservation

At the recommended setting, the best shelf life in the refrigerator is no more than 3 days.

At the recommended setting, the best shelf life in the freezer is no more than 1 month.

The best shelf life can be reduced when the settings are different.
Freezing fresh food
•
The freezer compartment is suitable for freezing fresh food and storing frozen and deep-
frozen food for a long period.
•
Place the fresh food to be frozen in the freezer compartment.
•
The maximum amount of food you can freeze within 24 hours is indicated on the rating plate.
•
The freezing process lasts 24 hours. Do not add other foods to be frozen during this period.
Storage of frozen food
Before starting up for the first time or after a long period of non-use, allow the appliance to
run for at least 2 hours on the higher settings before putting products in the compartment.
Important In case of accidental defrosting, e.g. due to a power failure exceeding the time
specified in the technical data. Thawed food should be eaten quickly or cooked immediately
and refrozen (after cooking).
Defrosting
Before use, deep-frozen or frozen food items can be thawed in the refrigerator compartment
or at room temperature, depending on how much time you have to do this.
Smaller foods can even be cooked and frozen directly from the freezer. In this case, cooking
time is longer.
