Controlling Other Units
with the Supplied Remote
By adjusting the remote signal, you can control
your TV, satellite receiver or VCR with the
supplied remote.
Notes
• If you enter a new code number, the code number
previously entered will be erased.
• When you replace the batteries of the remote, the
code number may reset itself to the default (SONY)
setting. Reset the appropriate code number.
Tip
You can set the code number for your TV or satellite
receiver separately.
Controlling TVs with the

Press RM SET UP and AV [/1
simultaneously.
The RM SET UP indicator lights up and "IR
SET" appears in the remote's display.

Press TV [/1.
The RM SET UP indicator flashes once and
"TV KEY" appears in the remote's display.

Enter your TV manufacturer code (see
the table) using Cursor key.
Each time you select the number, push
Cursor key.

Push Cursor key after you have
selected the 3-digit code.
When registration is completed, the RM
SET UP indicator flashes twice.
If registration is incomplete, the RM SET
UP indicator rapidly flashes 4 times.
* Use Cursor key only to enter the code number of
controllable TVs.

that works with your TV.
