cleaned. Shut-off water supply. Remove trim assembly (not shown). Remove Screws
(20C), Backup Plate (20B) and Cartridge Assembly (20A). Inspect inlets for sediment
and flush with water. Inspect O-rings (20D & 20E) for damage. Re-install Cartridge
Assembly (20A), and Backup Plate (20B) then turn on water supply. If problem persists
replace Cartridge Assembly (20A).
CAUTION: Do not disassemble Cartridge (21A).
CAUTION: When reinstalling Cartridge Assembly (21A), go to step 10 for more
details.
21 TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS
Dripping from either the tub spout or shower head when water is turned off.
Clean Cartridge Assembly. Check to ensure the two gasket o-rings on the back of the
cartridge is in place. Reassemble Cartridge Assembly, (see step 10). Turn on the water
and test. If the unit still leaks, replace Cartridge Assembly.
Make sure that both hot and cold water inlets are turned on.
Water flow is very low.
Check Cartridge Assembly, figure 20, for debris. Sediment where water enters shower
head can also cause this symptom.
Water starts out hot and becomes cooler as handle is rotated counter-
clockwise.
This is a potentially hazardous situation and should be corrected before using the unit.
Check the hot and cold inlet positions. If you have a back-to-back installation, (where
hot and cold inlets are reversed) refer to step 19 of this installation guide.
