Installation
Warning ! Installation and fitting of electrical appliances may
only be made by a qualified electrician.
Placement - Indoor application:
To achieve optimal lighting control, we recommend that you
place the 43-197 light sensor so that it measures the incoming
daylight in the room.
The light sensor should therefore be placed by the window.
Fig. 9.
The light sensor must not measure artificial light.
Placement - Outdoor application:
The motion detector 41-262 has integrated light sensor. When
using multiple motion detectors, type 41-262, only the light
sensor in one of them must be used. We recommend to place
this sensor where there is minimum daylight, to achieve optimum
lighting control.
When Minilux Control 36-080 is used as a day/night switch,
the light sensor 43-198 must be positioned according to
specifications. Fig. 10.
Installation:
Detector cable must be installed as a low-voltage installation
PIR detector: 2 x 2 x 0.6 mm - max. 200 metres.
Light sensor: 3 x 0.75² mm - max. 100 metres.
Connection diagram. Fig. 1 - 8.

Settings
Lux range:
Lux range, must be the same for the light sensor and control.
Off delay:
Delay time for PIR function.
Factory setting:
Indoor application
Lux range: 3,000 lx
Lux on: 900 lx ~ setp. at 500 lx
Off delay: 10 min.
App.: In (Indoor)
Press "Mode" to access the function you want to adjust.
Change the value by pressing
"Set -" or "Set +". Fig. 11.
There is a difference between:
Long press = press longer than 1 sec.
Short press = press less than 1 sec.
"Set +" = Increases the value.
"Set -" = Reduces the value.
After 15 sek. the unit automatically returns to operational.
Lux range, setting Fig. 11A:
Press "set +" = 30K ~ 300 – 30.000 lx
Press "set -" = 3000 ~ 30 – 3000 lx
Press "set -" = 300 ~ 3 – 300 lx
Press "set +" = 3000 ~ 30 – 3000 lx
Lux On, setting Fig. 11B:
Sets the lux value at which, Minilux Control 36-080 switches on
the light.

Long press on "Set +/-" = change by 100 steps.
Short press on "Set +/-" = change by 10 steps.
Light Off (Indoor app.) = Lux On + 10%
Off Delay, setting Fig. 11C:
The time, in minutes, after which the light switches off, after the
last recorded movement.
Long press on "Set +/–" = change by 10 steps.
Short press on "Set +/–" = change by 1 step.
App, setting Fig. 11D:
Changes between Indoor (In) and Outdoor (Out) application.
Short press on "Set +" = Outdoor
Short press on "Set -" = Indoor
For description of functoion see point 2 Function.
Recommended settings for Outdoor application:
Lux range: 300 lx
Lux on: 35 lx ~ setp. at 35 lx
Off delay: 10 min.
App.: Out (Outdoor)
Display when operational
Current lux value at the detector. Fig. 1.
Light level indication:
If the light level is lower than the Lux on setting, it is shown in the
display with a bar over the "lamp" icon. Fig. 12.
The indication has no time delay and is visible in the different
menus.
Setting Lux On:
1) Lux level on the table is measured with a
luxmeter (Lux in). Fig. 14A.
For example: 450 lx.
2) Lux level by the detector appears in the display
(Sensor). Fig. 14B.
For example: 800 lx
3) Required lux level on the table (Setp.).
Fig. 14C.
For example: 500 lx.
Lux On = Setp. • (Lux Sensor/Lux in)
Lux On = 500 • (800 / 450) ≈ 900 lx
Lux On is set on the Minilux Control.
Troubleshooting
Problem:
Motion detector 41-262 fails to switch on.
Possible cause:
1. Incorrect connection
2. The detector does not receive any power supply
(24V on terminals 1 and 2)
3. Lux level on the controller is incorrect.
Proposed solution:
1. Check that the detector is connected as shown in. Fig. 1 - 8.
2. Check that the controller is connected correctly.
3. Check that the controller is set correctly.
Problem:
No/poor detection in walk test.
