When the coffee maker is brewing, the LCD displays "ON", the brewing indicator light (2i) is
on, and, if you are brewing a stronger coffee, the "STRONG" icon is on.
8. The fresh-brewed coffee will start dripping slowly to the coffee jug. The drip stop valve stops
the brew from flowing when released from the coffee jug lid, so you can serve the coffee
while the coffee maker is still brewing, and prevents spilling the brew on the heat plate. Re-
placing the coffee jug back on the heat plate opens the drip stop valve and resumes filling
with the brew.
CAUTION! Do not open the top lid when brewing. Do not use the coffee maker if the water tank is empty!
CAUTION! The brewed coffee is hot. Do not remove the glass jug for more than 30 seconds when the coffee
maker is on. Keep at least a little of brewed coffee in the coffee jug so that the heat plate does not overheat the
empty coffee jug. The heat plate is hot when in use. Hazard of burns!
9. When all water has been used from the tank to brew coffee, the coffee maker will stop auto-
matically and hold the coffee jug hot at 75°C ±° 2°C on the heat plate for about 40 minutes. If
you serve out all the coffee from the jug before the coffee maker stops warming after brew-
ing, immediately power off the coffee maker.
10. You can stop brewing any time by pressing "ON/OFF" (2g).
11. Before brewing a fresh jug of coffee, remove the spent coffee from the filter, add fresh coffee
and refill the water tank. Next, set the desired mode and start brewing.
12. When done using the coffee maker, unplug it from the mains outlet and clean the coffee
maker.
13. You can set the coffee maker do display the actual time. With the coffee maker plugged to
the mains, operate the "HOUR" (2e) and "MIN" (2f) buttons to set the actual hour and min-
utes. Once set, the actual time will be displayed until the coffee maker is unplugged from the
mains.
14. With the actual time set, you can set the time for the delayed start of brewing. To do this,
press the "PROG" button (2d). The LCD shows "PROGRAM". Operate the "HOUR" (2e) and
"MIN" (2f) buttons to set the time of the delayed coffee brewing start. The indicator light (2h)
is on if the delayed start time has been set. You can program the delayed start time for the
regular strength coffee only.
GENERAL COFFEE BREWING HINTS AND TIPS
1. The volume of coffee is always slightly lower than the volume of water it is brewed with. The
missing water is absorbed by the coffee from which you brew.
2. Keep your coffee beans or ground or granulated coffee in a sealed container and in a dry and
cold place.
3. Do not rebrew the spent coffee. The best and roundest aroma can only be achieved with the
first brewing.
4. Keep the appliance clean. Dirt, grime, residues of spent coffee and coffee oil produced by
brewing will spoil the overall aroma of the brew and reduce the operating life of the coffee
maker.
