o Always disconnect the air hose before attempting any work on the machine.
o Protect eyes and hands when stripping and cleaning parts.
o Only remove press-fit parts if they require renewal.
Stripping hammer :
1. Dismantling retainer cap (10):
- Unscrew retainer cap (10) (MH 5/6), cross sloted retainer cap (10) (MK 5/6) or retainer ring (10)
(M5/6) – right hand thread.
- Remove ring (6).
2. Dismantling silencer (4):
- Pull off intermediate piece (12) (M/H/K 6).
- Pull off lower part of silencer (4.2).
- Pull off upper part of silencer (4.1).
- Remove locking pin (8) from handle.
3. Removing handle from cylinder:
- Clamp cylinder (5) in vise at flats.
- Loosen and screw handle (1) from cylinder by turning anti-clockwise.
This is best done by inserting one end of a length of piping or a bar (length approx. 1.5 m )
through the handle (1.1) and turning.
4. – Remove cover (2).
- Remove control ring (3).
5. Push piston (9) out of cylinder (5) in direction of handle (1).
6. Stripping Handle assy:
- Screw off strainer holder (1.8).
- Remove cylinder pressure spring (1.7).
- Remove intake valve (1.5).
- Remove O-Ring (1.6) from intake valve (1.5).
- Remove valve pin (1.4).
