If you hold the handles of the machine firmly, you will
reduce significantly the risk of kick backs and you will
incrase control of the machine.
Never use the machine when on top of a ladder, in a
tree or in any other unstable surface. Do not use the
chainsaw one handed.
Be careful when cutting small branches. These can
get tangled with the chain and can be propelled
unexpectedly towards you causing probable loss of
equilibrium.
If you cut a branch that is under tension be alert to a
possible rebound of the branch.
Verify the state of the tree prior to cutting to ensure
that dry branches will not fall off on top of you whilst
cutting.
Clean the work area and remove all obstacles that
could produce accidents.
Whilst cutting, ensure that the tip of the bar does not
come into contact with any trunks or other obstacles.
Cut with the machine at full throttle. Remove the
machine from the trunk when the chain is still in
movement.
Pay attention when cutting wood that splits easily.
Wood splinters could be propelled in any direction.
Risk of corporal damage therefore exists.
Never be on top of the branch that you are cutting.
When cutting, place
the claw in such a
way that it grips the
trunk.

Maintain the chain always well sharpened. Sharpen as
described in this manual.
If you carry out several cuts without letting go of the
machine, always turn off the machine between cuts.
Always regulate the machine on a plain and stable
surface.
Do not use accessories not recommended by the
manufacturer as these could cause severe damage to
the user, to other people nearby and to the machine.
Never let the machine drop and never try to stop the
chain by closing in on a piece of wood or any other object.
7.1. HOLDING THE MACHINE
Whilst you work, always hold the machine firmly with
both hands and by the handles provided to this effect.
Hold the front handle with your left hand and the back
handle with your right hand whether right or left handed.
Attention!: So as to reduce the risk of loss of control
and possible damages (that could be mortal) to
the user or those surrounding him, never use the
machine one handed.
English

a high risk of rebound
