MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
B 1 10mm Coupling Packer
C 2 Captive Straps
D 2 Side Plates
E 4 M16 x 50mm Bolts Nuts, Lock Washers
F 6 M12 x 1.5 fine pitch x 40mm Bolts and Disc Spring Washers (Note: 1.5 Pitch Bolts used for fixing to
chassis rail only)
G 2 M12 x 1.75 x 45mm Bolts and Nyloc Nuts and Disc Spring Washers
J 2 M12 x 1.75 x 45mm Bolts and 2 off Disc Spring Washers and Special Nut Retainers with Square Nuts
H 2 Chassis Cleat
I 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
CB 2 M16 x 60mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers
FITTING
1. Lower spare wheel to improve access and remove the bolts securing the rear under run bar to the right hand chassis
rail, insert Side Plate (D) between chassis and under run bar arm and loosely attach using Bolts (F) (fine pitch) washers.
Repeat procedure for left hand side.
2. Assemble Special Cage Nuts to Straps (C) as shown below and slide through the chassis rail, fix using Bolts (J) and
washers.
3. Remove the existing vertical mounting bolts in the chassis at (F). Align brackets (H) and loosely attach using Bolts (F).
Ensure washer (G) (OD 30mm) is sandwiched between the Brackets (H) and Side plates (D) and attach using Bolts (G).
4. Place Crossbar (A) between side plates (D), and attach using Bolts (E)
5. Fully tighten all bolts, starting with chassis bolts (F).
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
