• Place the guide bar(16) with the elongated
hole on the stud bolt and guide bolt on the
chainsaw.
• Run the saw chain around the chain wheel.

• Turn the chain tensioning screw(14) using tool-
ing(18) anticlockwise, to tension the chain.
The saw chain must not sag, although it should
be possible to pull it 1-2 millimetres away
from the guide bar in the centre of the guide
bar.

Fig. 7:
• Turn the saw chain by hand, to check it runs
freely. It must glide freely in the rail.
• Fit the chain cover. Tighten the chain locking
screw (15) for fastening the rail and chain
cover (13).
Before starting the equipment
Caution! Do not fit the battery untill the
equipment has been fully assembled and
all the settings have been actuated. Always wear
protective gloves when working on the equip-
ment to protect yourself against injury. Care-
fully unpack all parts and check that they are
complete.
NOTE: The tension of a new chain must
be checked after a few minutes in opera-
tion,
and adjusted if necessary. To do so switch the
device off. Remove the battery and apply the
chain brake.
Filling with chain oil
CAUTION!
• Only add environmentally friendly, good
quality chain lubricating oil to the chain saw.
• Do not add used oil. Used oil can cause skin
cancer with extended and repeated skin con-
tact, and is damaging to the environment!
Used oil does not have the necessary lubri-
cating characteristics and is unsuitable for
