Input lines
The XSAT2 satellite boards have a basic configuration
of 2 inputs while the XSAT8 satellite boards have a
basic configuration of 10 inputs.
Single balancing (area alarm signal)
By programming the area for single balancing and
connecting the 4,700 ohm terminal resistor (see control
unit Manual), short-circuiting or cutting it causes an alarm
status for the corresponding line.
Double balancing (Alarm and area tamper signal)
By programming the area for double balancing and
connecting the two 4,700 ohm terminal resistors (see
control unit Manual), short-circuiting or cutting it causes a
tamper alarm status, that is distinct from the actual alarm.
Areas configured as Switch Alarm (Only with Xtream control unit)
If combined with the XTREAM control panel, the satellites enable the
connection of inertial contacts or SW with a 4,700 ohm terminal
resistance.
To use this function the specific step
must be enabled within the control panel
programming of the single zone and the
sensitivity
using
the
Impulses" step must be adjusted.
The Switch Alarm areas must be configured exclusively with single balancing and the
related twin zones cannot be used.
Double areas with tamper signal (only with Xtream control unit)
If combined with the XTREAM control unit, the satellites allow duplicating the number of supervised
areas, passing from 2 to 4 in the XSAT2 model and 10 to 20 in the XSAT8 model without adding
external modules.
With this functioning modality, every individual line present on the terminal board of the satellite
board, splits enabling the detection of two separate zones.
All zones are fully independent between them, as if they were separate.
