disconnect the plug.
44. Take special care in slippery conditions
- on slopes and uneven ground.
45. Work in a line across the slope and take
special care when turning around.
46. Watch for hidden obstacles such as tree
stumps and roots to avoid stumbling.
47. Clean the cutting head at regular inter-
vals.
48. Check the condition of the cutting head
at frequent intervals. If the behaviour
of the cutting head changes (vibration,
noise), check immediately as follows:
Switch off the tool, hold it firmly and
bring the cutting head to a standstill
by pressing it against the ground. Then
disconnect plug from power supply.
Check condition of cutting head - look
for cracks.
49. Be sure to bring the unit onto normal
working position before turning it on
again.
50. Have a damaged cutting head replaced
immediately - even if it only has super-
ficial cracks. Never attempt to repair a
damaged cutting head.
51. Always switch off your tool and dis-
connect it from the power supply be-
fore taking a break and after finishing
work. Do not forget maintenance. (Plug
disconnected!) Only carry out mainte-
nance and repairs described in these
operating instructions. Any other work
should be performed by your dealer. Do
not grease - this is unnecessary, as this
unit has been pregreased at the factory.
52. Inspect cooling air slots on the motor hous-
ing at regular intervals for clog-ups and
clean as necessary.
53. Only use original spare parts.
54. Clean plastic parts with a damp cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleaning chemi-
cals.
55. Never hose down the electric tool!
56. Cleaning and maintenance may not be
carried out by children.
57. Store tool indoors in a dry, high or
locked place and always keep out of
reach of children.
Important notice - so your guarantee does not expire:
Always keep the air-intake clean.
Never press the cutting head on the ground, when
doing this you brake the turned-on motor.
Never hit the cutting head on a hard under-ground,
otherwise you will unbalance and damage the motor
shaft.

6. Assembly

WARNING: Do not touch the gear head immediately
when the product using in a long time, the hot gear
head may scald you.
Shoulder strap (Fig. 2)
A shoulder strap (63) is supplied for your greater comfort.
Simply attach the clip of the shoulder strap onto the strap
onto the hanger at the front of left housing body (68).
Connecting the attachment to the upper shaft (Fig. 2)
1. The coupler (14) connects the attachment to the
upper shaft. Follow these steps to connect the attach-
ment to the upper shaft.
2. Loosen the wing nut (24) by turning it counter clock-
wise.
3. Remove the end cap from the upper shaft (17).
4. Align the button with the guide recess on the upper
shaft.
5. Slide the underneath shaft (28) into the upper tube
(17) until the underneath shaft clicks into place.
Note: If the button does not release completely in the posi-
tioning hole, upper shaft (17) are not locked. Slightly rotate
the underneath shaft until the button is locked into place.
6. Tighten the wing nut (24) securely by turning it clock-
wise.
Note: During operation, periodically check the wing nut
(24) and tighten as necessary.
Removing the attachment from the upper shaft (Fig. 3)
Disconnect the upper shaft and underneath shaft for
storage or when a job calls for a different attachment.
Follow these steps to remove the attachment from the
upper shaft.
1. Release the trigger (13) and allow the trimmer to
coast to a stop.
2. Unplug the brush cutter.
3. Loosen the wing nut (24) by turning it counterclock-
wise.
4. Push the button, while pulling out the attachment.
Attaching the front handle (Fig. 4)
Follow these steps to attach the front handle:
1. Press the front handle (58) onto the upper shaft.
2. Place the front handle along the upper shaft to a po-
sition that allows for comfortable operation.
3. Slide the bolt (19) through the hole in the barrier
handle (18) and front handle.
4. Slide the bolt (57) through the hole in bolt (19) and
tighten it securely.
Adjusting front handle (Fig. 5)
1. Loosen the Quick Open Button (56) by turning it as
Fig.5 shown.
