Indicator light "operation" c
The indicator light indicates the state of the
product and allows a diagnosis to be established.
We can distinguish 3 general cases :
• the indicator light is fixed, that means the
product is operational,
• the indicator light is off, that means the product
is not supplied,
• the indicator light is intermittent, that means
that the controls or the automatic resetting are
temporarily or permanently clamped.
That is due to a locking by way of the selector or
the "
+ reset" and "
delay or, 3 faults (side selector on position "3x" ).
The red intermittent indicator light also means that
contacts of the associated product are soldered or
that the handle of the remote control is padlocked.
Selector on "
+ reset" position
The "number of faults" side selector position has
no effect on this position.
This position locks all the controls, the automatic
resetting and boots the product if the position is
kept over 5s.
The initialization consists in resetting the time
delays and the number of faults of the associated
product. Therefore, the indicator light becomes
green.
Selector on "
" position
The "number of faults" side selector has no effect
on this position.
This position locks all the controls and also the
automatic resetting.
"on"
This control can be made by a contact as push
button or closing switch (example : automaton,
supervisor, clock, etc).
It is clamped when :
• the selector or the controls set the "
or " " functions,
• a safety time delay is in progress,
• the number of faults is : 3 (if side selector on
position "3x"),
• the handle is padlocked,
• the contacts are soldered.
"off"
This control can be made by a contact as push
button or closing switch (example : automaton,
supervisor, clock, etc).
It has priority with regard to the "on" and the
automatic resetting.
It is clamped when :
• the selector sets the "
functions,
• the handle is padlocked,
• the contacts are soldered.
"
+ reset"
This control can be made by a contact as push
button or closing switch (example : automaton,
supervisor, clock, etc).
This control padlocks "on" and initializes the
product. The initialization consists in resetting
the number of faults and the time delay of 3mn,
consequently to unjam remote the product.
"off" is available.
"
"
This control can be made by a contact as push
button or opening switch (example : locking
emergency stop button etc).
This control locks "on".
"off" is available.
The product does not operate if this control
is not connected (minimum).
"a" and "b" signal outputs
When "a" and "b" are closed that means that off
position of the handle is due to :
• A short-circuit or an overload,
• An earth leakage fault according to the associa-
ted product.
When "a" and "b" are open that means :
• the selector or the controls set "
function or "
",
• a safety time delay is in progress,
• the number of faults is : 3,
• the handle is padlocked,
• the contacts are soldered.

Recommendation :
When the side selector is on "off & on + auto"
position it is advised to put the side selector on
"3x" position.
Particular functioning mode
Power interruption
When the power is interrupted, the product saves
its state (time delays and number of faults) in
order to reset when there is supply.
During the interruption, the indicator light and the
contacts "a" and "b" are open.
Soldered contacts on the associated product
In this case, the handle of the remote auxiliary
positions itself as the handle of the associated
product, in the centre.
This state is indicated by :
• "a" and "b" contacts opening,
• the indicator light becomes red and intermittent .
Remote forced closing
When "on" or automatic resetting are clamped,
the associated product has submitted 3 faults or
a time delay of 3 mn is present, it is possible to
reactivate them.
To unjam "on" remotely, we must activate "
reset".
To unjam locally, we must hold the side selector
in "
+ reset" position (for 5 s) until a green
indicator light appears.
To re-boot the automatic resetting remotely, we
must activate "
+ reset" and then "on".
To re-boot locally, we must hold the side selector
in position "
+ reset" (for 5 s) until a green
indicator light appears.
Remote impossible when fault (overload or
short-circuit)
It is impossible to impose a manual intervention
after a fault. To realize this function, we just have
to cable in series the contacts "a" and "b" and to
connect them on the control "
Padlocking
This function guarantees the user that the remote
control auxiliary can no longer act on the asso-
ciated product. In this case, the associated
product can be padlocked.
This state is indicated by :
• the opening of the "a" and "b" contacts,
• the indicator light becomes red and intermittent.
Auxiliaries CZ 001, MZ 201 to MZ 206 :
These products do not operate with MZ 900 and
MZ 910.
